Our resident host Grace Sanders caught up with Sam Fischer ahead of his upcoming tour "The Something to Hold onto Tour. Alongside a chat about his upcoming collaboration with Meghan Trainor [June 2nd] and his album release this September.
With over a billion streams to his name, the man behind global hits ‘This City’ and ‘What Other People Say’ ft Demi Lovato is taking it back to his roots with a run of small and intimate shows on The Something To Hold Onto Tour.
The tour – named after a poignant lyric from his latest release ‘High On You’ ft Amy Shark – will see Sam showcase new music from his highly anticipated upcoming album acoustically around Europe.
Australian born Sam Fischer first introduced himself with his Not A Hobby EP and has achieved well deserved attention since for his heartfelt songs. Now based between LA and London, he not only has received acclaim for his own work, but he continues to solidify his spot as one of the hottest current writers, having worked with global pop superstars including Cian Ducrot, Ciara, Cat Burns, Lennon Stella, Louis Tomlinson, Elle King, Jessie J, Virginia To Vegas and many more.
However, it hasn’t all been plain sailing for Sam, who endured his own heartache to achieve his dreams. With the promise of a recording contract in the bag, he set off to LA only for the deal to be pulled away. After months of couch-surfing, he finally and deservedly received his break with This City and project Homework, which has been just the start of an exciting new chapter in Sam’s career with lots more still to come.
Sam’s debut single This City currently stands at over 500 million worldwide streams and 4 million worldwide sales and stayed in the UK Top 20 for 11 weeks. The track is also double platinum in Australia, platinum in the UK and Gold in the US, New Zealand and Switzerland. Sam also performed the track on US TV, including Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel and The Late Late Show with James Corden. His duet with Demi Lovato What Other People Say has sold over 1 million copies and saw him perform the track on Ellen alongside Demi Lovato.

Our resident host Grace Sanders caught up with the amazing Los Angeles-based & Emmy nominated actress, Kelly Jenrette (Hulu’s “The Handmaid’s Tale”) who plays ‘Amara Patterson’ on The CW’s series All-American: Homecoming
Kelly recently guest starred on the penultimate episode of NBC’s THIS IS US, titled: “The Train” and previously starred in the Spectrum Original series “Manhunt: Deadly Games” on CBS (Corus in Canada).
On the film front, she currently has two Netflix original movies streaming! These include “All Day and a Night” opposite Jeffrey Wright and Ashton Sanders as well as “Uncorked” alongside Courtney B. Vance and Niecy Nash.
Kelly is also currently writing a play commissioned by the Black Rebirth Collective, which imagines a real-life meeting between Betty Shabazz and Coretta Scott King, the widows of Malcolm X and Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., respectively. Through Kelly’s writing and imagination coupled with some of Betty and Coretta's words, the play will take the audience on the journey of how Betty and Coretta’s relationship went from “rivalry to tolerance to genuine affection.”

Our resident host Grace Sanders caught up with the amazing NYC-based actress, Jen Cohn (Overwatch 2, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Welcome to Chippendales).
Jen portrays ‘Pharah’ in the Overwatch franchise. In addition to voicing ‘Ursa’ from the fan-favorite Nickelodeon series “Avatar: The Last Airbender” and ‘Lord Zash’ from “Star Wars: The Old Republic.”
Combining her love for the gaming community with her eye for fashion, Jen started streaming on Twitch interviewing fellow voice actors, highlighting independent designers from all around the world, and styling gamers live on stream.
Jen is all about creative self-expression. She has worked in the world of fashion for over a decade as a trend scout, consultant, and fashion interviewer at both NY and Paris Fashion Week.
Jen’s Twitch streams offered something for fans so unique that Meta took notice and partnered up her to create The Metastyle Podcast (launching in January 2023), a show where Jentalks personal style, creativity and self-expression in the Metaverse. You can listen to the Podcast trailer here.

Apex Zero's latest project is ‘Drummer Warrior Storyteller’. The multi-layered visual album aspires to embody Nigerian author Chinua Achebe’s perception of storytelling; the Drummer calls the people, the Warrior fights the war, the Storyteller recounts the events, creating history, memory and meaning for those who survive. Centring African Caribbean perspectives, the album explores personal experiences of oppression and liberation of diasporic, migrant and marginalised people in London and beyond through music, film, dance, photography, painting and immersive listening/performance, engaging audiences through multiple mediums in the form of an installation exhibition.

Chef Sean has an endless passion for music, discovery, people and life. The award winning artist has just dropped his visual for his latest release Runaway, taken from his debut album My Life where he enlisted the help of ASCAP award winner Rodney “Lil Rod”Jones for the project. He is a talented songwriter, producer, rapper and actor.
The Chicago native started his career with a feature film debut at the age of 12 alongside Allen Payne, Forest Whitaker and Jada Pinkett Smith in ‘Jason’s Lyric’. His most recent acting roles are in a film “Teeth & Blood”, “There Are No Children Here” and ABC Crime series Missing Persons. Chef Sean has had some huge support in America with backing from areas such as The Source and Hip Hop Weekly.
Runaway also premiered on Sirius XM. Chef Sean opened at Juicy J’s sold out show over the summer during BET week alongside Erica Banks. He has had success on multiple releases and has had features alongside artists such as Jeremih and OG Maco.

We caught up with Luke Romick, Vice President of Marketing & Partnerships at Thirst Project, the world’s largest youth water non-profit organization. Unlike most 20-somethings, Luke has worked at the same company for nearly a decade in a range of roles from intern & volunteer to now the Vice President of Marketing & Partnerships.
Luke works with Thirst Project, a unique and diverse non-profit organization located in the heart of Los Angeles, to work alongside hundreds of thousands of young people across the world to end the global water crisis. In his nine year tenure, Luke has developed & executed influencer marketing campaigns with Angela Kinsey from 'The Office', the cast of 'Mean Girls' and YouTube sensation, The ACE Family that have raised & reached millions. In addition, Luke has also developed & executed brand marketing campaigns with brands including Molson-Coors, Paramount Pictures & Stance Socks among others to raise awareness and funds to end the water crisis. In the last decade, Thirst Project has raised $10 Million+, 100% of which has been used to fund the construction of over 3.3K water projects in 13 countries, giving clean water to more than 500K people for life. Originally from Cincinnati, OH, Luke is a Midwestern guy who graduated from Denison University with a degree in Communications and Environmental Studies. While in College, Luke won both the Wooden Citizenship Cup, given annually to the best Role Model in College Sports in 2016 and was named to the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, for his on-the-field performance in Football & Track and off-the-field action with Thirst Project and other service initiatives. Luke joins Peyton Manning, Drew Brees & Tim Tebow as the only other athletes to win both of these service awards in their college career. In the future, Luke hopes to continue to expand his role with Thirst Project and will always strive to make the world a better place.
